Beginners Courses


Our beginners course for 2024 has now come to an end with many people graduating.


We hold our beginners courses each year in September and use our track at the beginning of the course.



Types of Training

The beginners courses are open to all whether you are new to running or returning after a break. Over the 12 weeks, participants will build up their running stamina in a group of friendly and welcoming volunteers who will support you to hit 5km by the end. This will be in the form of a mixture of training at Trowbridge Rugby Club and safe routes along lit pathways in the local area from TRFC. Progression from beginners is available in the 5-10km improvers group.

At the end of the beginners course, the aim will be to take part in running a local 5km parkrun!
