Beginners' Training Schedule for Thursday evenings

Welcome to the world of running!
The following are just a few hints to help you get the most from your new exercise programme.
- Ideally you should be aiming to run about 3 times a week, so try to run at least once
in between club sessions if you can. A repeat of the session run at the club (pace/time) would be ideal.
- After each session, be sure to stretch properly, calf's, quads and hamstrings.
- Eat a light meal a minimum of 2 hours before a training session.
There is no need to use sports drinks at this stage, if you are trying to lose weight
they will fill you with more calories than you are burning off! A drink of water is sufficient.
- Remember, start each session slowly, slow starts = longer sessions!
- You may well be stiff/aching the next day following your first few sessions, gently stretch
several times during the day, it will get better!
