Avon Valley Triathletes

 

Here are the details of some local sessions regularly used by our AVT members, some buddy groups and any new initiative that are coming up

 

Please continue to list on facebook any buddy groups that you feel might be of interest to other members however please keep in mind that participants take part in these activities at their own risk as they are not qualified coached sessions.

 

Swimming:

 

Clarendon Pool - Wednesday 07:00 - 08:00 run by DBMax coached by Paul Ryman £6 per session

 

Bradford on Avon Pool - Friday 17:00 - 18:00 open public swim, buddy session

Vobster Quay - First weekend of the month - group buddy swim with option of 5k run afterwards.  April - October dependent on the weather – the call out for this will go onto the facebook group prior to the weekend

Lake charges apply see Vobster website for details

 

Cycling:

 

Clarendon - Third weekend of month from January 2017 - led ride out of various distances. 

Routes and timings will be posted on AVT page prior to the weekend - may incorporate a parkrun or similar as a brick session.

 

There are longer rides for those that wish are available from either Westbury Wheelers or Trowbridge Cycling Club.  Please see their respective facebook and web pages for further details.

 

Turbo sessions - Winter months only - Led by Matt Brett at North Bradley Baptist Church - Wednesday nights 19:00 - 20:00.  £5 per session.

 

Running:

All AVR training sessions as per website http://www.avonvalleyrunners.org.uk

Additional:

 

Circuits 1st Monday and 3rd Wednesday of the month at Trowbridge Rugby Football Club

 

Multi sport Wednesday’s from January 2017
Updates to go on faceboook meeting at 650pm at Bath University and adapting the plan on the day based on weather and the group size

Currently there is already an off road with head torch buddy group going out
Or the
Possibility of joining with the JAVR track session or doing your own planned session however priority is given to JAVR - £3 fee applies please ask Rich on the day
In addition you could do an earlier lane swim prior to the session or a swim down afterwards

Session to be reviewed seasonally - Perfect if you have a JAVR young person at track 

 

We suggest arriving 10 minutes early for all AVR club runs, as they will leave promptly.
