The Bath Hilly 10 played host to Race #5 of the Wiltshire Race League, with 115 runners attracted to the start line in quite inclement conditions.

Michael Towler had another good run recording an impressive 57:38 on the tough course but was beaten into second place by Martin Cox of Salford Harriers. However good performances from 11th placed Carl Davies, 12th placed Joby Hobbs, 25th placed Richard Morgetroyd and 33rd placed Sean Butler saw AVR gain 19-points behind top-scoring Team Bath but more importantly 2-points more than Chippenham Harriers meaning that the club regains top-spot in the Wiltshire Race League. In the Ladies race, Fiona Price was the fourth lady overall and helped the AVR team of Jo Mumford, Sue MacGregor, Kathy Kinsey and Helen Maria to gain 19-points, behind Team Bath and close the gap on Chippenham Harriers at the top of the Wiltshire Race League table.

Helen Maria remains the Wiltshire Race Leagues top scorer with a tally of 424 ahead of club mate Fiona Price.

The next race in the Wiltshire Race League is the Springfield 5K in Corsham on Tuesday 10th July.
