Report: Devizes 10K

Three hundred runners braved driving rain and a spot of snow at the Devizes 10K. Tom Anderson of Winchester AC was the first to complete the course recording 32:42 ahead of Salisbury's Simon Plummer who took maximum points as the first Wiltshire affiliated athlete to finish. However it was Avon Valley Runners who claimed the team victory led by 6th placed Carl Davies and now top the table with the same number of points as Chippenham Harriers. Chippenham Harriers also provide the leading individual points scorers in the Men's League with Michael Bright & Gary Dunstone both having achieved 193 points with Avon Valley Runner Carl Davies sitting third with 190 points.
The Ladies race also saw a victory for Winchester AC with Penny Armand-Smith heading Fiona Price of Avon Valley Runners, who is now the leading individual points scorer in the League with 198 points. Chippenham Harriers however took the team victory with 3rd placed Mandy Thorpe leading them home and now sit just one point behind Avon Valley Runners.
