Report: Devizes 10K
Avon Valley Runners claimed the prizes for both the first & second placed Men's team and the first and third placed Ladies teams at the Devizes 10K.
The winning Men's team was led home by 6th placed Michael Towler in 35:35 followed by 8th placed Carl Davies in a Personal Best time of 36:20 19th placed Joby Hobbs in 38:44 and 21st placed Richard Morgetroyd in 38:55. Not content with just one team title the Men followed up with a second award with new member Warren Wade finishing in 23rd place recording 39:21 followed by 31st Simon Gilbert, 38th Mark Harris and 39th Tom Frost. The third placed team award went to Corsham Running Club.
For the ladies 61st placed Jo Mumford recorded 44:36 to lead home the Avon Valley Runners team of 63rd placed Melanie Nicholls, 128th Clare Williamson, & 142nd Liz Clark finishing ahead of Corsham Running Club. Like the men not being content with one team award, 164th Megan Orrell, 180th place Tanya Elling, 209th Dawn Halbert, 214th Joyce Field & 225th Hayley Southgate claimed the third place team prize.
