Road and Off Road Running

Here is a list of recommended events for the next five weeks:

Don't forget many of these races are now filling up fast, so get your entry in early, so in some cases I have selected a choice of two events the same day.

Sunday, 25th February
The Terminator - MT
County and AVR Championship event - Please enter this race before it fills up.
Sunday, 4th March
Old Sodbury Scramble
The course starts with a lofty "scramble" behind Old Sodbury Primary School at 10.00am and finishes back in the school field after some breathtaking views
Prizes will be awarded for first male and female, with a medal for all runners.
Sunday, 11th March
Imber Ultra
Together with Westbury Rotary, Avon Valley Runners are organising a 33 mile trail race around the Imber Perimetre Path.
Sunday, 18th March
Bowood 10K
An undulating, well there is an incline at the start and the finish, but almost flat race around the Bowood Estate amongst the trees and along the waterside. This is one of my favourite races.
Sunday, 25th March
Clock Change Challenge
These 10km & 5km accurately measured road races are suitable for runners aged 15 and over, along with a 1.5km supporting fun run which is suitable for all ages. This course is capable of producing your personal best, fast and flat. We will have a range of activities to keep the family here during the event too. Each runner will receive a special medal for the event and category winners will receive a special gift in a presentation.

Note:

Don't forget, there is always a club run from Pound Lane each Sunday starting at 09:30.
