Road and Off Road Running

Here is a list of recommended events for the next five weeks:

Don't forget many of these races are now filling up fast, so get your entry in early, so in some cases I have selected a choice of two events the same day.

Tuesday, 19th June
Westbury 5k
Starting from Headquarters Road in Westbury - HQ: Players Bar, Quartermaster Road Westbury, BA13 4JT
The second in a series of four fast and flat official measured 5km road races held under UK Athletics rules.
Suitable for all abilities and great potential for lots of personal bests.
Registration opens at the Players Bar from 6pm where toilets and baggage drop will be available.
Drinks and food are also available before and after the event.
Sunday, 24th June
Avebury Trust10 Free 10k race
Fancy a morning run through the clifftop gardens of a 1920s villa? Or how about testing your fitness in the grounds of a medieval castle? Our free monthly 10k trail runs are a great way to blow away the cobwebs, get some exercise and take in spectacular scenery.
Sunday, 1st July
Quantock Beast
Entries are still OPEN
A challenging 5.7 mile multi terrain race held from Fyne Court, Broomfield in the heart of the Quantock Hills.
The Beast race is one of the toughest in the Somerset Series, be prepared for mud, mud and more mud.
Sunday, 8th July
Two Tunnels
Road Championship Race
A truly special race that not only takes in many of Bath's beautiful attractions but also has the longest underground sections of any running race in the UK!
Sunday, 15th July
Frome Half and 10k
The race passes through the streets of the town and surrounding countryside returning to the Frome Town football Ground for the finish line.
Sunday, 22nd July
Bowerhill Bomber 10k
Country lanes, fields, towpaths and some road make this run a picturesque countryside run. This event is supporting Melksham Carnival.

Don't forget, there is always a club run from Pound Lane each Sunday starting at 09:30.
