Road and Off Road Running

Here is a list of recommended events for the next five weeks:

Don't forget many of these races are now filling up fast, so get your entry in early, so in some cases I have selected a choice of two events the same day.

Sunday, 14th July
Two Tunnels
A truly special race that not only takes in many of Bath's beautiful attractions but also has the longest underground sections of any running race in the UK! Cutting right under the city of Bath, the two tunnels offer a truly unique running experience.
Sunday, 21st July
Colerne 5 miler
Club Championship event
This is a chip-timed one lap 5 mile road race starting and finishing at Colerne Rugby Club. The course is set on rural roads has been officially measured and granted a Certificate of Course Accuracy.
Sunday, 28th July
Old Down Estate 5/10k
A Summer event at the Old Down Estate in Tockington, Bristol - a 5k or 10k (2 loops) multi-terrain course which begins in the idyllic grounds of Old Down Country Park, before heading out for a superb 1.5 mile run through woodland, which can be very muddy and challenging!! The course then takes in some fantastic open space before heading back into the woods for an uphill section, then back into the Park and its amazing grounds, and the finish line. Also 1k off road family fun run through Park on flat terrain, and a 50m for the under 5s on flat grass within the Park's adventure play area.
Sunday, 4th August
Sturminster Newton Half Marathon
There are 7 water stations and 3 sponge stations situated around the course, so you should find plenty of water. Please note though that some of these are in rural areas (mile 6, 10 and 11) so at these stations we do not have easy access to refill once all has gone. We try our best but if you take more than one cup then the runners behind may miss out!
Sunday, 11th August
Standish Woodland Chase
Part of the Roger Briers Race Series A multi-terrain race over a course of almost 10 miles following parts of the famous Cotswold Way. The route is hilly and run on mainly woodland trails, with some road along the scenic Cotswold escarpment.
The first 200 finishers will get a unique medal part of the interlocking race series medal.
Sunday, 18th August
Two Tunnels Relay
Club Championship event
A truly special race that not only takes in many of Bath's beautiful attractions but also has the longest underground sections of any running race in the UK! Cutting right under the city of Bath, the two tunnels offer a truly unique running experience.
